Since we started making furniture in 1983, it has always been our aim to create clean, simple, traditional designs that are well proportioned and pleasing to the eye whilst also being practical and functional, using European timber from managed sources.
Every piece we produce is made entirely in our Reapsmoor workshop by our small and dedicated team.

When we make a chair, hours of painstaking development go into it to ensure that comfort and support are optimised.
Our tables can be used for years without being shrouded in protective matting as illustrated by their use at our showroom, Longnor Craft Centre and Coffee Shop.
Unlike veneered furniture, ours can simply be sanded down and refinished to look like new if damage does occur.
Hand turning produces a degree of detail that cannot be matched by production copy turning, as shown in these footstool legs.
We have a standard range of smaller items, such as stools and coffee tables which are all made to the same exacting standards as our larger pieces, but most of our work is custom built for individual customers, who can choose between timbers, colours and exact sizes.
Our only outlet is our showroom at Longnor, so you will never be paying prices inflated by middlemen and if you wish to order bespoke items, you will always be speaking directly to us. Our youngest team member, Rory, has been with us for 10 years since leaving school, we have 55 years of experience between us and we all firmly believe that you never stop learning.
Through our website I would like to convey our ethos of giving every customer our personal attention through the design stage and show the extent to which each piece is individually created to bring you finished pieces that will last for many generations. Since the arrival of huge amounts of Chinese oak furniture, many more people are buying oak items. As with any other products there is a wide range of varying qualities. Keep an eye out for my posts explaining the differences between cheap imports and our output.
