Most of our new range of smaller pieces are suitable for gifts and  postal delivery. I will add details of items to our Gift Ideas page as they become available, such as the range of clocks using attractive and rare examples of native hardwoods that I am currently working on.

All the items are made to the same exacting standards as our larger pieces. While we try to keep these items in stock we can’t guarantee to do so. Please allow 3-4 weeks if you wish to order items for a specific date. Keep an eye on us for regular updates and new stock on the gift ideas page.

I have now expanded the range of timbers to seven for my Cruet Sets and also added another rolling pin in the traditional straight form.

It may not be the biggest range in the world, but you must remember that all these items are hand made by us with the same care and detailing as our largest pieces of furniture and only available from us!

Outdoor bathing on a crisp winter evening amid frost or snow is a truly enchanting experience! I didn’t believe it until I tried it!

Our partner company, Bathing under the Sky, can provide a range of packages over the festive break from simple hot tub hire, delivered to your garden, to a comprehensive pampering package. Alex and Bart are ready to deliver a perfect alternative treat  for you.

We are currently working on a ‘Barrel Sauna’ for Bathing under the Sky which should be integrated into their hire fleet by the end of November. Keep an eye out for early pictures and delivery dates.

We made this one just before Christmas and delivered it to the Reading area. The proud new owners took no persuading to fill the rack, then empty it again over the festive season! The wine rack is quite labour intensive so adds an amount to the cost but the end result is worth the extra. this one is 60” x 34” x 21”, guide price £2995

We have just completed this piece in natural oak, offering a range of practical storage space with deep drawers in the middle. While the current trend seems to favour natural oak, we can of course offer our usual range of stains to suit all styles of decor. Our order book is refilling again steadily, with lead times around 4-5 months currently, slightly less than normal.

From Friday 18th our showroom at Longnor Craft Centre and Coffee Shop will be open daily 10am to 5pm, with the workshop just a couple of miles away if you wish to visit.

2010 wasn’t the easiest for us, hence the lack of posts on my website[sorry!] but we have never stopped churning out beautiful pieces. The considerable snow falls in the Peak District didn’t help our cause at the end of November.

Unusually, most of the snow fell straight down leaving our garden looking rather magical.

We missed several days due to over 12” of snow arriving within 3 days, which put pressure on us in our last week before Christmas, leaving us working late each night and having 6 deliveries to make in the last 5 days.

Things are looking good for the new year as we continue with our small but dedicated workforce. We normally experience a rush of orders after Christmas, although our lead time at this moment is around 3 months so if you are thinking about an order and act quickly, you could get it before the summer!!

This extending table was one of our last items to go out before the holiday. When finished it measured 84” x 40” with the loose leaf fitting neatly into the frame. This one went to London and was priced at £1,900.

Made from solid oak with a light stain and moss green leather seats it comfortably bridges the gap between modern and traditional. The finish is our usual satin polyurethane which combines excellent resistance to damage and day to day usability with an irresistable silky feel.

The chairs are our highly acclaimed No 64 design, while the table is our rectangular topped pedestal with uneven length legs to give maximum stability whilst minimising any obstruction under the table, so a chair could be placed almost anywhere around it without fouling the legs below.

This set, comprising 4 chairs and the 52” x 36” table, is available  now in the showroom for £2699.

Light oak hall table

We can offer various designs along this theme, including the one shown below in a more traditional style with turned legs and a shelf.

Oak pot dresser without finish

This one is larger at 54” x 18” x 27” and has 3 drawers and a shelf below, traditionally for storing  larger pots that wouldn’t fit in cupboards, hence the name. This is priced at £975

Hall table nearly ready for showroom

It will be in the showroom from the 8th June priced at £575 and finished in light oak stain, same colour as the right hand one which has been made for a customer.

Behind the hall tables are the latest batch of footstools which have just arrived in the showroom priced at £74 each.

Natural oak drinks cabinet

The front doors open to reveal a full depth bottom shelf for bottles etc and a half depth top shelf for glasses. The top doors fold back on themselves either to a horizontal position or will rest vertically if space is tight, to expose a serving surface and another bottle store.
