Problem with carriers.
This beautiful Utile coffee table recently left our workshop, heading for its new home in London, courtesy of carriers, TNT.
When it arrived it looked as though it had been blown up with TNT.
With minimal damage to the packaging it was not obvious from the outside that there was any damage inside. So my customer signed for it. There is no way she could or would inflict this damage. It appears to have been dropped from five feet up onto a hard surface. Yet because it was signed for TNT will not even listen to our protests or requests for compensation. I would be embarrassed to behave in such a way!
The warning is to always sign for your parcel as unchecked if you don’t open it first!
I have just finished making a replacement table for my very patient customer. I haven’t finished with TNT yet!
