Fresh from the workshop is this neat, compact CD storage cupboard to accommodate 160 CD’s on 4 shelves. Measuring a tidy 30” x 20” x 8” it would be difficult to find a more efficient way of housing your CD collection. We can make this style of cabinet to order in any width or height to suit your requirements.

This cabinet will be in the showroom from the28th April, is in medium oak and is priced at £275. If you prefer to have open shelves we are currently working on three units which should be finished in the next few days and will appear in one of my next posts.

As we are a small company, mostly making furniture to order we would be delighted to discuss any other ideas you have for CD storage and provide a quote.

It’s here! Our new range of quality teak garden furniture has arrived. We are still assembling it so look out for more photos next week and hopefully the warmer weather will come along to tempt everyone outside unlike last year. The weight and quality of these sets has to be witnessed to emphasise their superiority to cheaper ranges.

Pre-assembly view of our teak garden chair showing the joints and two dowels in each tenon. After they are glued and assembled then given three coats of Danish oil, they wiil easily last 20 years+ outside and remain solid, giving reliable service throughout.

Teak garden chair and armchair will add quality and style to your patio as part of our latest set. Prices are £140 per chair, £200 per armchair, £400 for the 2 metre table, with the set rounded down to £1,600, offering excellent value for money against cheaper, lighter sets.
Look out for full set pictures coming soon. You can view other items and special offers on our Garden Furniture page or contact us on 01298 84467.

Just as Stoke appear poised to hit the Big Time it seems appropriate to show you a project I have been working on for some time. I am restoring some original seats from Stoke’s former Victoria Ground. Using the original cast iron ends with their mahogany seats and steam-bent beech backs, I have fitted them to an oak base and added a backrail to hold them together in pairs.

The metalwork is blasted then powder-coated with the original woodwork being sanded clean then stained and given several coats of polyurethane varnish. The seats pivot up as the originals and the endframe casting ID ‘ No 5 SCFC’ is highlighted in gold on the right hand side.

Many people have bought sets to use in gazebos, conservatories or hallways, without having any football interest, but for all Stoke or general football fans there can be few more useful and practical pieces of memorabilia than this!
Price £270 per pair as shown
P.S. Its sheer coincidence that my name is Peter Fox [although I've never been a great goalkeeper!]

As I guessed we have had considerable interest in our new design of Refectory table for the smaller kitchen space or breakfast area from pictures of the one we made for a customer recently. The obvious solution was to make one for the showroom, so here it is and will be on show and available from Thursday 10th April.

Ideal for ease of access and making best use of a small space this compact set will easily seat 4 adults. The table measures 44” x 24” x 29” and is priced at £999 with the two matching benches. Sizes can be varied to suit your needs if this one doesn’t make best use of space.

This picture shows the compact design of our new Breakfast dining set.

An ideal addition to your kitchen for casual dining. This set is now available from the showroom.
Remember the showroom is open every day now until Christmas day 10am to 5pm. Please phone us to check availability if you are travelling any distance.

Even after 20 years making furniture I can’t escape my links to the cheese industry. From a previous life grading Blue Stilton to my current location in a former cheese factory at Reapsmoor. Once a year I find myself with the task of designing and making a group of trophies for the Dairy section of the Great Yorkshire Show. This provides an enjoyable distraction from furniture making, with the emphasis being on fine detail and choosing attractive timbers for the baseplates.

These trophies from 2006 have burr field maple bases with various timbers used for the other parts.
Most examples of our furniture can be bought from the showroom or ordered, but if you want one of these you’ll have to make something lovely with milk and enter the Great Yorkshire Show!
